On 7/16/42 French authorities carried out a raid of Jews in Paris, resulting in the arrest of more than 13,000 families. After spending several days in the Velodrome d'Hiver stadium in summer with little food or water, families were deported to internment camps and finally, to Auschwitz, never to be seen again.
