‘Un café con...’ is a unique graded reader containing 26 interviews with contemporary personalities from various sectors such as sport, cinema, gastronomy, fashion, art, architecture and photography, that aims to broaden the student’s socio-cultural knowledge. The units are organized by level B1.1, B1.2 or B2. The interviews are intended to develop students’ overall comprehension and use of the Spanish language. Pre-reading activities are incorporated as well as post-reading exercises to enable students to study speech, literary figures, idiomatic and colloquial expressions and topic specific vocabulary. Additional activities are also included at the end of each level, and a final test is designed to measure the learners’ understanding of the content covered.
